段宴用毛巾擦着手，“什么事？”
“过几天有领导来视察，区里的，带着几个开发商的人一起来。”
包工头压低声音，神情有些为难，“你也知道，我们这帮人干活行，嘴巴不行，说话粗，怕把人给得罪了。”
他指了指段宴，“你不一样，你这小伙子一看就有文化，说话也利索，我琢磨着，明天能不能请你帮个忙，陪我去接待一下？就是在旁边帮衬着说两句，别冷场。”
段宴手上顿了一下。
领导视察。
开发商的人。
他没吭声，把毛巾搭回去，脑子里转得很快。
他在这个工地打零工，一天五百五，靠力气换钱，没有上升的通道。
但如果能在这种场合露个脸，混个脸熟，往后承包商那边有什么消息，或者有哪个口子能钻，兴许就不一样了。
他当然不是真的指望靠接待一次领导就翻身，但路就是这么一步一步踩出来的。
“什么时候？”
包工头眼睛一亮，“到时候通知你，你帮我撑个场子就行，最多一个小时，不耽误你什么。”
段宴点点头，“行。”
“行，那说好了啊！“包工头拍了拍他，“你放心，不让你白来。”
段宴接过水，拧开盖子喝了一口。
“谢了。”
“客气啥。”
段宴点点头，换下工作服，拎着包离开。
回到家的时候，已经凌晨了。
容寄侨还没睡，看见他进来，立刻站起来。
“你怎么这么晚才回来？”
段宴换鞋，“工地有活。”
容寄侨走过去，“吃饭了吗？”
“吃了。”
“真的？”
段宴抬头看她，“嗯。”
容寄侨盯着他，“你脸色不太好。”
“没事，就是有点累。”"
