夜巡宫墙时，我发现皇后死死掐住皇子喉咙。
皇子满脸青紫啼哭不止，皇后也不松手。
我来不及多想，赶紧救下皇子，送到皇上面前。

皇后踉跄赶来，指着我哭喊：

“顾昭，朕待你不薄，你竟敢强迫皇后，干出这等丑事！”
我跪伏在地：
“陛下，微臣冤枉，有禁军能证明臣当时不在场。”
皇后冷笑打断：
“那些禁军都是你的人，自然向着你说话。”
皇帝身旁突然传来声音。
“陛下，奴才有话要说。”
众人回头，只见太监总管李公公跪在我身侧。
李公公跪地叩首，声音中藏着焦急：
“陛下，奴才伺候陛下三十三年，从无虚言，今日就算豁出性命也要为顾统领说一句公道话。”
皇帝眉头蹙起，但还是应允。
李公公抬起头，脊背挺得笔直："
