九点的时候母亲回来了，买了包子和豆浆。她起来吃，食不知味。
母亲问她今天上班吗，她说上，下午的班。
母亲说那我今天随便出去走走。她说行。
母亲走了以后，她又拿起手机。
L没再发消息。
她松了口气，又有点说不清的失落。
十点三十四分，手机又震了。
L：“？”
只有一个问号。
朵兰的心一下子提了起来。她赶紧打字：“在上班，对不起没看手机。”
发完她才意识到自己撒谎了。她没在上班，她在出租屋里坐着，盯着手机发呆。
可她不能说自己在出租屋里坐着，她得说自己忙，得说自己有事，得说自己不是拿了钱就跑的人。
那边沉默了一会儿。
然后L回复：“哦，没事。晚上聊。”
晚上聊。
朵兰盯着这三个字，心跳莫名快了起来。晚上聊。聊什么？怎么聊？视频还是语音？她要说什么？他要看什么？
她不知道。
她只知道，从现在到晚上，还有七八个小时。

拖地的时候差点撞到客人，端菜的时候差点摔了盘子，李丽看了她好几眼，趁没人的时候拉她到后门问：“咋了？魂丢了？”
朵兰摇头：“没。”
“是不是那个客户？”
朵兰没吭声。
李丽压低声音：“他让你干啥了？”
“还没，”朵兰说，“他说……晚上聊。”
李丽点点头，那眼神里有点过来人的意思：“正常，刚开始都这样。你先聊着，聊熟了再说。记住，不露脸。他要是非让露，你就说不行，这是我的底线。真客户会尊重你，不尊重的趁早拉倒。”
朵兰点头，心里却一点底都没有。
晚上九点下班，她坐公交回去，一路握着手机，手心全是汗。"
