“刘老爷，在下翰林院沈砚之。”

沈砚之？那个赫赫有名的探花郎沈大人？
“这位是周述平周大人。”

刘老爷的脸色变了变。
三个翰林院的官，一块儿上门？
他看向宋姨娘，眼神里带着问号。
宋姨娘低着头，不敢看他。
“刘老爷，”沈砚之开口，“这位被打浑身是伤的女子，是我的人。”
刘老爷愣住了。
他的人？
“她今日在街上，被贵府的宋姨娘当街掌掴，又让下人追着打。”沈砚之说，语气平平的，“我想问问，这是怎么回事？”
刘老爷的脸色更难看了。
他转向宋姨娘：“怎么回事？”
宋姨娘抬起头，指着枣儿：“她是我院里的丫头，签了契的！我不该管教她？”
“管家？”刘老爷问，“管家在哪儿？什么情况？”
刘老爷看向管事的，你看看你，什么人都敢招进来？也不调查清楚底细！
管事连忙上前，小声说：“老爷，这丫头确实是宋姨娘的院子里的新来的，可是人才来没几天，还没签契，在试工……”"
