第十日，车马进了大凉境内。
随行的西夜侍卫上前禀报：
“姑娘，再往前走一日，就到京城了，我们只能送到这里，剩下的路，姑娘就要自己走了。”
鱼红灼点点头，接过他递来的包袱。
包袱里是阿依慕塞的东西——一袋葡萄干，一包糖，还有一块玉佩。
玉佩是慕容铮的。
那日清晨，她上车之前，他塞进她手里的。
“拿着。”他说，“西夜的国玉。”
她翻身上马，独自一人，往京城方向去。
黄昏时分，她到了御书房。
烛火从门缝里漏出来，细细的一线。
她推开门。
皇帝伏在案上，手里还握着笔，像是批着批着折子就睡着了。
他瘦了很多。
那件明黄的龙袍穿在身上，空荡荡的。
鱼红灼站在原地，想起十五岁那年，他站在寨子外面，隔着老远看着她。
她不肯跟他回宫，他也不恼，就那么站着，站了整整一个下午。
临走时他说：“朕是你父亲，记着，什么时候想回来，就回来。”
她那时不懂，一个皇帝，为什么要对一个不愿意认他的女儿这样低声下气。
现在她懂了。
鱼红灼走过去，轻轻抽走他手里的笔。
皇帝惊醒过来，抬头看见她。
“你……”
“回来了。”鱼红灼在他对面坐下，“吵醒你了？”
“回来就好。”他声音哑得厉害，“回来就好。”
他伸手想够茶壶，手抖得厉害，够了两下没够着。
鱼红灼替他倒了杯茶，递过去。
皇帝接过来，捧在手里，也不喝，就那么看着她。"
