刘四小姐急得小声给她出主意，谭清许听了却没照做，只把自己那枚滞后的棋子往前挪了两格。
林婉儿又掷了个五点。
她棋子已过半场，眼看就要赢了。
第三轮，谭清许掷骰子。
她随手一扔没看，眼睛还盯着棋盘。
骰子骨碌碌转了几圈停住。
六点。
刘四小姐眼睛一亮：“谭姐姐走这个，走这个能封她的路！”
谭清许依言落子。
棋盘上那枚不起眼的黑子恰好卡在林婉儿主力棋子的必经之路上。
林婉儿笑容微微一僵。
接下来三手，谭清许又掷出两个五点、一个四点。
她的棋子不紧不慢地铺开，像是在布一张看不见的网。
林婉儿越走越紧。
她的棋子被困在自己那一半棋盘里，左冲右突就是过不去那道卡子。

林婉儿抬头。
谭清许正低头看棋盘，神情专注。
她没看林婉儿，只平静地说：“县主方才说，双陆七分靠运。”
她把骰子推回桌中央。
“看来县主今日，运不太好。”
这局林婉儿输了。
输得干干净净，输得她想摔了这棋盘。
可谭清许脸上没有得意，也没有多看她一眼。
她赢完了就起身去喝茶，好像刚才不过随手消遣，当不得什么大事。
林婉儿把那枚骰子攥在手心里，硌得掌心生疼。
午后小憩时分，侯府在各处凉亭设了茶点。
谭清许正与刘四小姐坐在水榭边说话，一个小丫鬟低着头碎步走来，手里捧着一张花笺。"
