沈明珠腿一软，差点跪倒。萧执扶住她，手很稳，但他的掌心全是冷汗。
“走。”他说。
两人加快脚步，几乎是小跑着离开茶棚。走了很远，直到看不见茶棚了，萧执才停下来。
沈明珠扶着树，大口喘气。她的心还在狂跳，手脚冰凉。
“她……她为什么……”她说不下去。
“不知道。”萧执说，“但此地不宜久留。”
他拉着她，钻进路边的林子。林子很深，光线昏暗。他们一直往里走，直到完全听不见驿道上的声音，才停下。
沈明珠瘫坐在地上，浑身都在抖。
“没事了。”萧执蹲下身，握住她的手，“没事了。”
他的手掌很热，很有力。
沈明珠看着他，眼泪涌了出来。
“我怕……”她哽咽着说，“萧执……我好怕……”
萧执没说话，只是把她拉进怀里，紧紧抱住。
他的胸膛很硬，但很温暖。沈明珠把脸埋进去，哭得浑身发抖。
“不怕。”萧执的声音很低，很沉，“有我在。”
沈明珠哭得更凶了。
她也不知道自己在哭什么。是怕被抓住？是怕死？
也许都是。
也许都不是。
她只是觉得，好累，好累。
累得想就这样睡过去，再也不要醒来。
萧执抱着她，一动不动。他的手轻轻拍着她的背，像在哄一个孩子。
过了很久，沈明珠哭累了，慢慢停下来。
她抬起头，眼睛肿得像桃子。
“对不起……”她小声说。
“不用道歉。”萧执松开她，从包袱里拿出水囊，“喝点水。”
沈明珠接过，喝了几口。水是温的，带着他的体温。
“我们还能逃出去吗？”她问。
“能。”萧执说，“一定能。”"
