林知薇咬着下唇，内心剧烈交战。
去，还是不去？
去了，好像就默认了某种超快的进度，也把自己置于一个可能尴尬的境地。
不去，似乎又显得自己过于扭捏，而且……可能真的会拉长这场让她心绪不宁的“考察”。
贺临川不再催促，只是安静地站在那里，身姿笔挺，像一棵能提供荫蔽的树，等待着她的决定。
堂屋里只剩下炉火细微的噼啪声。
时间一分一秒过去。
终于，林知薇松开了咬着的下唇，抬眸看向他，眼神里还带着未褪尽的羞赧和一丝豁出去的决断：
“只是……只是作为普通朋友的拜访，了解情况。”
她强调。
贺临川从善如流地点头，眼神亮得惊人：
“当然。只是拜访。”
“而且，”
林知薇补充，试图掌握一点主动权。
“时间不能太长，我……我下午还要去文工团，有点事。”
她临时编了个借口。
“好，我保证，吃完午饭就送你回来，绝不耽误你正事。”
贺临川答应得飞快，嘴角的弧度已经有些控制不住。
“那……那走吧。”
林知薇转身，往自己房间走。
“我、我去换件衣服。”
总不能穿着居家的棉袄和围裙去“拜访”吧？
贺临川看着她略显慌乱的背影，眼底的笑意终于不再掩饰，温柔地漫开。
他扬声，体贴地道：
“不急，我等你。外面冷，多穿点。”
回应他的，是房间里一阵窸窸窣窣、略显忙乱的动静。
贺临川走到窗边，看着窗外依旧飘洒的细雪，心情却如春日初晴。
他默默计算着从梧桐街到军区大院的路程，想着家里今天可能有的菜色，想着父母和爷爷见到她时会是什么反应……
