剑身映着天光，亮得刺眼。
“读书人？”徐立威开口，声音不高，却让院里霎时静了。
“百姓饿死时，你视而不见！
蒙古人屠城时，你助纣为虐！
大宋王师来了，你据墙顽抗！”
他顿了顿，声音提起来，让院外也能听见：
“今日，借你项上人头，告诉严道县——大宋回来了。”
剑光落下。
血喷起三尺高。头颅滚了几滚，停在台阶下，眼还睁着。
院里死寂。
徐立威收剑，转头看向洞开的大门。
门外，远远地聚了些人影，是胆大出来看的百姓。
“挂起来。”他用剑尖指了指那头颅。
老根捡起头发，拎着走到旗杆下，把那颗头系在原先挂伪旗的位置。
徐立威抬头看，旗杆顶空着。
“把宋旗升上去。”
崭新的宋字大旗被拴上绳索，缓缓拉上杆顶。
晨风一鼓，旗面哗啦展开，在灰蒙蒙的天底下，红得扎眼。
第六章 悬头立旗归民心
旗升起来的时候，街角的门缝开得大了些。
张伯眯着眼，看那颗挂在半空的人头。
是马剥皮，不错。
那张平日总阴着笑的脸，现在脸色灰白，眼还半睁，像是不信自己就这么死了。
“真死了......”张伯喃喃道。
旁边又有人探出头，是卖炊饼的王瘸子。
他拄着拐，脖子伸得老长：“那是过山虎？躺地上那个？”
“是，胸口有个血窟窿。”
“杀得好！”王瘸子咬牙道，声音却压得低，像是怕被其他人听到。
徐立威站在旗杆下，扫视着渐渐聚拢的人群。"
