“锅里有热水，洗把脸吧。”
她端来一盆，还冒着热气的水。
水面倒映着左青风，睡眼惺忪的脸。
李福也出来了。
丁猛的媳妇，又倒了一盆热水。
洗漱完。
那只收拾干净的山鸡，和那一筐热气腾腾的玉米面饼，被送到了他们面前。
丁猛的媳妇，又往筐里，塞了六枚野鸡蛋。
她什么都没说。
只是把筐子，往前推了推。
李福看着那筐东西，沉默了片刻。
他从怀里，摸出了一小块碎银子。
至少，也有一两。"
